Alison has over 30 years experience in the Records and Information Management sector having started with the Petroleum industry in 1972 designing and developing the first offshore information centres on the production platforms in the North Sea. Not content with mastering the difficulties of providing and securing information for this heavily regulated industry she has built this successful records management consultancy and services company. She is a leading practitioner in the organisation and development of information retention and disposal methods particularly in relation to the legal issues and risks associated with inaccurate and out-of-date information. Her approach is practical and to the point, assessing risks, managing change and implementing new processes and procedures from boardroom to basement.
Her interest in information management has led to her involvement in more general management issues with regard to the impact that new laws, technology and financial constraints put upon a business and its employees. Re-organisation of departments and facilitating change within organisations have become regular components of her information projects.
Alison has worked worldwide in Japan, the United States of America and extensively in Europe. Sector experience includes Government (Local and National), Finance, Insurance, Pharmaceuticals, Construction, Charities, Utilities, Petroleum, Engineering, Nuclear.
Darren has 16 years experience as a Records Manager and has been FileBusters Project Director since 1995. He is responsible for the development and implementation of various information management projects both as part of a team and as the project manager. He is an expert procedure and process writer with excellent computer and database design skills. He is adept with both paper and electronic records.
Working with FileBusters he has developed retention policies and schedules including the FileBusters ©D.O.T.E. system for a number of sectors such as Pharmaceuticals, Charities, Finance, Media and local Government. Darren's major projects include the recovery and re-organisation of an archive for a London council. His team was responsible for the implementation of the re-design of the archive management system and the re-filing of 18,000 files containing sensitive information. This project was completed ahead of schedule and within budget.
Last year he directed operations for two major file management reviews including re-designing the filing and archive system, developing databases to support these new corporate file management systems and coordinating the move and conversion of each department's files within the two organisations. All his work is carried out with regard to ISO 15489 and those statutory requirements relating to the retention of information.
He has ongoing responsibility for a number of FileBusters ©Quick Services contracts that provide archive and file management maintenance on a monthly basis to clients in the City of London.
The Management Team is supported by a Project Manager and 3 Project Team Leaders who are responsible, with their teams, for completion of the file management projects.
